Located in Canada’s warmest region in the western basin of Lake Erie, Pelee Island is Canada’s largest independent winery located on 600 acres of land naturally endowed with ideal soil and climate conditions. The winery produces quality grapes that have resulted in the winery’s award-winning vintages. Icewine is produced from grapes which are left on the vine in the autumn and then hand harvested in December and January when temperatures fall below -10 C and the grapes have frozen solid naturally on the vine concentrating the sugar.
