Description

Bonarda is one of the grape varieties for which Argentina has become famous. This wine has lots of mouth-watering, ripe black fruit and sweet spicy flavours and aromas. Boisterous aromas of plums, red and black cherries, as well as pepper are found in the nose. Light to medium-bodied, this expressive wine offers delightful plum, cherry and blueberry flavours before revealing a wonderful, slightly rustic finish. The wine is Estate Grown and Bottled. Grapes for Alamos wines are sourced from mountain vineyard sites in the premier regions of Lujan de Cuyo and Valle de Uco at elevations of 3000 to 5000 feet. The altitude means more intense sunlight which enhances the aromatics of Malbec and creates thicker skins, leading to richer, more intense wines. Half of the grapes come from young vines in the Catena family estate vineyards and the other half are purchased from growers who are closely managed by Alamos’ vineyards managers. Food Recommendations:-Charcuterie, Barbecued meats, Hard cheese, Grilled Vegetables, Grilled Meats, Spicy Dishes and Pasta in tomato based sauces.
